Yes, this is actually the real one. The rumor about a sibling fight is not real and the truth is more boring. Le Ahn had two trucks on campus, sold one to her friend (Le Ahn's) and kept one (The Real Le Ahn's). You can blame the antagonistic name on Chinglish. Anyway, the food selection is ordinary and like her friend across the street, a healthy lump of generic sauce is dumped on each dish. However, she's the friendlier of the two and if you want Pad Thai or Bubble Tea without getting seated, this is one of the only places to go. Warning: Don't get the small size unless you are flat out broke. -MY

Tried the General Tsaos chicken and was EXTREMELY disappointed. A few bites in, I noticed a pungent odor as I lifted my fork. Either they mixed in fish (not pieces of white meat), gizzard, or the meat was rotten - it was mushy with dark spots throughout. I tried avoiding these pieces, but after another two bites I couldn\'t take it any more and threw all of it out. Big waste! -Penn Grad

Vegetable lo mein is delicious. \n\nNot a huge fan of the chicken that is used for the chicken dishes. -Lo Mein

They do not listen to the customer at all and have no combination options. The food tasted okay but was poorly made with undercooked veggies and \'stir fried\' meat that looked steamed with no caramelization. You get a lot of food for less than $5, but the quality suffers tremendously. -Ben Franklin

There are some great finds at The Real Le Anh. The chicken eggplant is absolutely delicious, as is the chicken pad thai. -Ben Franklin

Here's the thing, the real le anh does a few things very well and you just have to try until you find them. Their chicken pad thai is absolutely outrageous, it's 5 dollars and is worth every penny - one of the most solid finds on penn's campus. -Ben Franklin

Food is almost exactly the same as the other Le Ahn, which is not a good thing. Unless they are competing for the worst non-food court Chinese food, there is really not much point in their focus on brand distinction. I have not tried the Bubble tea however, so they may at least be a good source of beverages. -Unamused

To be fair, this is only based on 2 dishes I got with them because I never went back after that. I tried ordering the wok-fried stuff, but there was an overuse of vinegar both times that made it taste kind of weird. -KT
