When asked why she doesn't have a phone number, Kim simply replied, "We cook too fast, there's no need to order ahead." And it's true; Kim's has the fastest service on campus, by far. Even though all the grad students from nearby Sansom know the secret, there are never more than 5 people in line because no one waits more than 5 minutes. The menu is ordinary but offers pretty much everything you would want from a Chinese/Asian food truck. The orange display in the middle has the best specials. Also, they use less of that gooey sauce than other trucks use (see: Le Anh's). -MY and AG

Is the food great? No. But it\'s decent and satisfying. The owners are friendly, hard-working people trying to make an honest living and I enjoy being a patron. My personal favorite is the sesame chicken. If you want a simple dish, the quality is not much worse than places you will pay double. For the fancier stuff, I wouldn\'t recommend it. $4.50 for a meal is a great bargain -Steve

The speed it super-fast. They can take care 30 ppl in 5 minutes. Some ppl can get their food in less than 2 mintes. The price is also very cheap. The only problem of their food is that they are NOT tasty at all. Would only recommend to you when you have limit time and need some fast stuff not tasty stuff. -Ben Franklin

Had beef lomein for lunch. It could have used some extra flavor...but overall it was pretty good. Having gone to a few other chinese and japanese trucks, this one has been the best. -Penn Grad

Out of all Chinese food trucks on Penn campus, this is by far the all-round best one. Not only is the service very fast, the food is absolutely delicious. The most notable dish is Kung Pao Chicken, which never fails to satisfy me. Have you ever asked yourself: "Where can I get a delicious, healthy, chinese meal that won't make me feel like crap after eating it? Well, this is your solution: Kung Pao Chicken at Kim's. Go for it. -Trappist

Kim's is always extremely fast and always great! Their Kung Pao Chicken is great as is their Kung Pao Tofu but if you ask for Kung Pao Chicken and Tofu it is AMAZING. Sauce is really good, amount of rice is great, and the tofu is good well as is their chicken. Even if it seems like there are 30 people waiting in line, don't be afraid - it'll never take more than 5 minutes -Ben Franklin

Okay, firstly- the Chinese food here is very American style. It's like your local chinese place in the suburbs. However, I grew up in the suburbs and enjoy the food here a lot. It's reasonably priced and really tasty. I look forward to hearing their trademark "You want spicy?" For a quick meal, they're one of the best carts on campus. My favorite dishes are the sesame chicken and spring roll, but they're reliable on almost all dishes. -Tasty's Cho

They definitely cook fast and still have good food. Yue kee's is the only chinese food cart that is comparable in quality and their waits are about 20-40 mins. Good vegetarian options and a number of dishes where the seasoning or sauces taste different from one another (not the same old brown goo). -Tuille

The food isn't gooey/wrong like the other Chinese food trucks, and the variety is much greater. Try the eggplant chicken or the chili chicken, or the maopo tofu. Don't get discouraged by long lines--I've been in lines there that were over 20 people long and I still got my food in less than 5 minutes. -Rolfe

I've been on campus for 8 years, and this was my first food truck meal ever. Every time I go there, I vow it'll be my last time because the food tastes so terrible -- overseasoned, over-use of vinegar and soy sauce, too little rice and vegetables taste old and un-fresh -- but I keep going back because the lines at all the other trucks can get so long. Fair priced and worth it if all you want to do is fill your stomach with something that won't kill you, and you don't want to wait for it, but the description above is wrong -- the line ALWAYS is longer than 5 people during busy times because everyone thinks this place is soooo fast that they come here. -KT

While Kim's offers typical Chinese food and is almost always open, the magic lies in the dishes you may not have heard of before. I ordered a Veg Lo Mein and it was perfectly adequate, but ordering the Kung Pao Tofu was a life-changing experience. It is filling and has large portions, and the flavor is unmatched amongst food trucks on campus. -AG
