I am Indian and have never tasted such horrible Indian food. The vegetarian curry was bland, tasteless with lot of water with some turmeric and curry powder.\nI am never going here again. -M A

Ground beef biryani (with or without Rata)is a little different than other dish. The portion of it is usually 1.5 than other dish. Chicen Tikka Alu or Masala is the best among foodtrucks. It\'s spicy I know, but it\'s great for winter. -Ben Franklin

There are actually 4 levels:mild, medium, spicy and spicy hot. If you want to eat something that is meant to be spicy( unlike other foodtruckers who will ask you if you want some hot sauce, you know), get some food here. Chicken tikka Masala is fantastic. Ginger there is also very good. But the speed is very slow. -Ben Franklin

I actually enjoyed the food quite a lot. The masala was cooked well, the rice not so well but the spice made up for it. Its not cheap, but the portion is good and I prefer it to most of the Indian restaurants (except maybe New Delhi). Will definitely go again. -Curry Chicken

After feeling a great displeasure from Lovash's downsized, minuscule portions, I needed another Indian food truck. So I decided to try this one. The portions are so much bigger! Plus the food is just as tasty and also very spicy which is the way I like it. There are three level of heats from mild to spicy, note that spicy is pretty damn spicy. What makes it even better is that the food is cooked on the spot; it's piping hot when it gets to you. Granted, the wait is a little long compared to other food trucks. One thing to try is the mango drink. Although full of flavor, it could be even better if it was icy cold but it still cools you down in the summer heat. Contrary to some of the other reviews, I feel that the owner is generally friendly, smiling while greeting you. -Ben Franklin

There are a bunch of Indian restaurants near Penn's campus, so why would you pick this food truck behind the gym? Put simply, its excellent value for money. All curry and rice dishes are in the $5-6 range, and make for a very substantial meal. The food quality is excellent, the dishes are flavorful, and meal portions are very decent. Sure, the owner is a bit gruff and doesn't do anything made-to-order except for mild/medium/spicy. And yes, the service is slow (because the food is put together after you order, and there's only one cook). And there are no breads except for a thick pita-type of bread. -Ben Franklin

For the money you get a nice sized portion of curry and rice. Sure, the food is not spectacular Indian, but it's pretty cheap, reasonably tasty, and a pretty big size. I like very spicy food, so I'm happy that the owner will make the spiciest truck food on campus if you ask for it. In contrast to the editor's review, I find the food to be better quality than any of the local buffets, though Indian food in Philadelphia seriously lacks. This is the best of the mediocre options on campus IMO. A better option is Kabobeesh at 42nd and Chestnut. Downsides are the truck is slow (everything is cooked to order of course), there's no call ahead number, the owner can be gruff, and there's no naan bread option--just thick pita bread. -Neuronix

This food is really good. Took the time to get to know the owner, who can come off negatively, and he's a really nice guy. Usually skip over if more than 2 people because of the wait but if I go and there's no one, I do cartwheels. BTW- must order at least medium spicy for food to be tasty. I'm 6'2'' and 195 lbs, and I can barely finish a meal here. Most entrees are 4.50 to 5.50, which isn't cheap but is still comparable to other trucks (KoJa, Hemos, Steak Queen...). Also, the guy isn't friendly, but he understands english well and gets you what you ask for--what more do you want? Frankly, I don't want to chitchat--I want my food! Also, service is slow, but there's rarely a line, so it's still comparable to Hemos, KoJa, and most other trucks. This is one of my top 5 (KoJa, Yue Kee, Curry on Wheels, Kahn's, Luckys) -DC

I went to this cart a couple of years ago and the food was really really spicy (because I ordered spicy, go figures). I decided to go back to give it a fair shot. But this time the food just sucked. It was expensive (~$6) and just awful. It was mostly rice with a little bit of the actual entree. The peas were uncooked and the paneer was chewy. The curry was very liquidy and bland and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Never again will I go here. -Ben Franklin

this man looks like the buddha! he's very quiet, but he's not mean. food is always super hot. he doesn't mess around with the spices either, and i love spicy food. mild is fairly spicy, medium is my upper limit, and spicy makes me cry. -Ben Franklin
